Holiday Season Marketing

The holiday season is here! This is a huge time of year for businesses and making sure to market your business during this busy shopping season is so important.

Here are a few of our favorite holiday marketing tactics:

  • Social Media Posting: Keeping your business’s social media profiles up to date is important all year round but especially around the holidays! Use social media to announce when new products arrive, special holiday hours or events, and of course any sales or specials that you are running! This can be done through organic social media posts, putting money behind posts or “boosting” them, through Facebook Live, or through creating Facebook events. The key is to make engaging content that will interest your followers and help you to gain new ones!
  • Social Ads: For pages that are active on Facebook and Instagram, adding in social media ads is a great way to grow your page and audience even more! Social media ads also have a variety of options ranging from video to single image to carousel ads that can showcase up to 10 images. The great thing about running social media ads is the audience targeting you are able to layer onto the messaging. We can target users similar to those who like your page or are interested in similar products/services to what your business offers. In terms of content, social ads are great for showcasing new products or holiday sales!
  • Geofencing: We all know the holiday season is busy for retail shopping! Geofencing is a great way to reach holiday shoppers who are visiting your competitors. We are able to draw a virtual geofence around retail stores and serve your ads to users who visit them. In addition to reaching this audience that is already out shopping, we are able to track if they make a visit to your physical location.
  • GMB: While Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) may not be an advertising tactic, it still plays an important role in holiday marketing! A key piece of GMB is the hours section. Make sure to state if your business is open on holidays and what the hours are as well as updating any additional shopping hours you might be open for! Don’t forget to take advantage of the post feature that GMB has to offer, too! It’s a great place to add information about new products or special events.
